    THIS IS A LARGE SPECIMEN OF
    MASSIVE PYRRHOTITE WITH NO MATRIX.
    THE SPECIMEN IS
    APPROXIMATELY 9 X 8 X 6 cm
    .  IT
    WEIGHS 409.1 gm.
    THE SPECIMEN IS FROM THE
    6500 LEVEL, LINCOLN MINE, TEMPIUTE DISTRICT, LINCOLN CO., NEVADA.
    THE PYRRHOTITE IS WEAKLY MAGNETIC AND POSSIBLY CONTAINS SOME OTHER Fe-S PHASES AS WELL.  THE PYRRHOTITE OCCURRED IN SMALL PODS IN A GARNET-EPIDOTE TACTITE (SKARN).  IT IS A BRIGHT, CLEAN SPECIMEN.  SEE PICTURES.  I WILL COMBINE SHIPPING WHEN POSSIBLE.  THANKS FOR LOOKING.
    THE LINCOLN MINE WAS A FORMER "WAH-CHANG / UNION CARBIDE" TUNGSTEN MINE THAT CLOSED IN THE 1960'S.
